September 2010 PYRO (High School Youth) Events

PYRO is back and brand-new and improved for 2010-2011!  It will now be held EVERY WEEK on Wednesday evening throughout the school year.  Not only that, but we are having our very own youth worship service as part of it!  What a great time to be a high school youth at Pilgrim!  Here is the general schedule for PYRO nights:

6:45-7:00 PM Arrive; fellowship

7:00-7:30 PM Youth Worship in the Church

7:30-8:30 PM Activity (some will end later than 8:30 PM)

Here is a list of activities planned for the month of September:

September 8th-Brick Painting/Letter to self/Open Gym *NEW*

Each youth that attends will get to paint their very own personalized brick on the wall in the Youth Room.  We will also be writing “letters to self”, talking about what our expectations are personally for the coming year.  If time remains, we’ll hang out in the gym.

September 15th-Fire at Wayne’s

After worship, we will drive out to Wayne’s house (2264 S. Pine Tree Rd. De Pere, WI) for a fun evening around the campfire.  We’ll talk, share laughs and stories, and have some s’mores along the way!

September 22nd-Bible Blast/Open Gym *NEW*
We will dig into God’s Word and work on our personal devotional lives.  Afterwards, we will head down to the gym for some fun activities.

September 30th- Fast Food Frenzy (Burger King, Taco Bell, KFC, Wendy’s, Arby’s) *NEW*

This one is going to be a new favorite.  We will begin at Pilgrim and drive along Oneida St. to the various fast food places listed above.  You can only get one item to eat at each location.  You may also get one drink and one ice cream item (but not at each place).  Sound fun?  Hop in and let’s get some food!

Looking forward to a “blazing” start to this new PYRO, where the Pilgrim Youth Reach Out, and we’re on fire for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

Your Youth Director,

Wayne Makela
