Feed 'Em
If you are a college student this is your page and you have come to the right place!!!
Even though you may be far away, Pilgrim Lutheran can still be your home church!!
What is Feed 'Em?
Purpose: To follow our members into some of their most crucial years of life, college, and support them as they learn who they are and who they want to be.
Name: What is one of the first things college students ask for when they go home? FOOD!! Mom or Dad's good cooking. However, the food we are talking about here is not burgers, steak, or lasagna; the food we are talking about is God's Word.
Three Ways Feed 'Em Works
1. One of the first things that Feed 'Em ministry will do for college students is help them get connected with a LCMS church near their school. This way they can still worship, hear the Word, and gather around the Sacraments with other Christians!
2. The next thing Feed 'Em is going to do is connect each student with a sponsor. Sponsorship will be very simple. Write a letter to the student at least once a month. A sponsor is a Christian mentor for a college student. Sponsors will use their letters to encourage, strengthen, and help show the student the support he/she has in God's Family, The Church!
3. An interactive website. This is what you are viewing! This website will be the college students' built in support system so they can encourage and support each other. In addition, the website will also provide college students with opportunities to grow in their faith as they grow in their life. On the website will be bible studies, sermons, helpful papers on relevant topics, devotional material, and a blog made specifically for college students.
