The motto of Stephen Ministry is "Christ Caring for People through People". The Stephen series equips lay people to provide an effective caring and listening ministry to those who are hurting with any number of concerns (loss of loved ones, divorce, illness, etc.). When a potential care-reciever is brought to our attention, the Stephen Leaders will assign a trained minister to serve that individual for as long as the need requires. This relationship will remian completely confidential and will generally involve a one hour visit each week.
